We Need to Talk

Lowe’s tracks compliance in its Vendor Compliance System (VCS), where you can review purchase orders that do not meet On Time and Fill Rate standards (and dispute as needed).

Lowe’s other compliance system, Vendor Partners Plus (VPP), is where you can access raw data, monitor performance, and metrics for On Time, Fill Rate, and ASNs.

So what are Lowe’s metrics for staying compliant for On Time, Fill Rate, and ASNs?

When these standards are not met, you can expect to receive fines. Missing the On Time metric results in a fine that is 10% of the PO value. You are fined 10% of the shortened quantity's monetary value for falling short of the Fill Rate. And for non-compliant ASNs, the fine is $250 per ASN.

Let’s Make This Work

One thing we think is a little special about Lowe's is that they allow suppliers to dispute fines before they are deducted. Although meeting compliance standards on the first try is ideal, working quickly to dispute fines when they occur can save you from unnecessary heartache.
