ASPEN after Walmart Integrates Ship Point Management into Supplier One

On October 17th, Walmart released an update on a new feature, Ship Point Management, that has been integrated into Supplier One. Fortunately, this feature is not new for suppliers—it’s a replica of ASPEN and simply integrated into Supplier One for consolidation purposes.

The update Walmart released on the feature states, “While ASPEN will be accessible via Retail Link through December, we recommend familiarizing yourself with ship point management in Supplier One now." Walmart does not clearly state that ASPEN is going away in December, however it follows the trend of Item 360 and it does hint towards a discontinuation of ASPEN.

What we know about Ship Point Management:

The new feature in Supplier One allows suppliers to manage their shipping facility schedules, order routines, lead times, and any special exceptions.

With this tool, suppliers can:

View and update their shipping locations (ship points),
Track 9-digit ship point agreements,
Review any changes or exceptions that have been submitted, and
Create new ship points or override existing shipping events.

How does it differ from ASPEN?

The good news is, besides some cosmetic updates, there is no change!

Here are a few updates to keep an eye on:

Reports Page Update: New links have been added to Luminate providing sales, cost, and forecasting reports in one place. It also provides two free Luminate reports for payments. Charter members can log in and access Purchase Orders and OTIF reports from Supplier One.
eCommerce In-Stock Report: Shipped and tracking reports are available to track current in-stock rates for items in Walmart fulfillment centers.
Home Carousel: A featured rotation of Supplier One announcement, including a video walkthrough of new features and enhancements.
Payments Section: The APDP available in Retail Link now grants suppliers access to Accounts Payable Claims dispute data in Supplier One, for as many as 5,000 rows.
